Oil Supply Ships, Ferries, Research Ships
PBP Services carry out a wide range of multi disciplined services to the oil and gas sector both onshore and offshore.
These services include all types of surface preparation and protective coating applications. Other services include scaffold erection, rope access, thermal metallisation spraying, fire proofing and stopping, lagging, fibre glass spray applications, polyurea encasement, tank lining and compound applications.
Offshore works include contracts for companies such as Sub Sea 7, carrying out blast cleaning and painting work on board their vessels while in service and also whilst in dry dock at Rotterdam.
We can offer experienced personnel to assist with quick turnaround coating repairs as was the case in this brand new oil supply vessel which arrived in Montrose to have storage tanks fitted on decks. All disturbed and refit works were cleaned down and recoated along with the storage tanks which had a freshen up coat of paint.
The same service company has used us in the past in dry dock in Newcastle on some of their other ships, as well as during service at sea to assist with applications of specialised coatings.
We can also offer dry dock facilities and arrange refit works including cleaning, painting, engineering and electrical fabrication works on all types of oil standby and supply vessels.
Passenger and vehicle ferry
Work on this passenger ferry included blast cleaning and washing. Then application of specialised non slip safety deck coatings was spray applied through a hopper gun which left a heavy duty non slip surface. Also undertaken was the cleaning and painting of tanks as well as the general coating applications to the vessel's hull and decks as per specification.
Fishery Research Vessel
The Alba Na Mara had minor repairs carried out to hull coatings by disc sanding where required and rebuilding up coatings before completely repainting with self polishing anti foulings and polyurethane topcoats.
